When will the virtual WCLC 2020 take place?
WCLC 2020 has been moved to a fully virtual meeting, which will take place January 28-31, 2021.

Why has WCLC 2020 been changed to a virtual meeting?
The change to a virtual meeting was based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the current travel restrictions put in place by Singapore, the U.S. and other countries, and, importantly, the toll currently being placed on our health care community. These restrictions significantly affect the ability of delegates, speakers, presenters and exhibitors to participate fully in the WCLC 2020 Singapore even if a live meeting was legally allowed to take place. This decision also underlines our commitment to containing the virus and preventing further sickness and loss of life.

When and where will WCLC 2021 Denver take place?
WCLC 2021 will take place virtually from September 8 - 14, 2021.

REGISTRATION, ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL

I am already registered, what happens now?
Your registration will be automatically transferred to the virtual meeting and any difference in fees will be refunded by August 28. If you wish to cancel your registration completely, please email [email protected] to request a full refund by August 28, 2020.  Cancellations received after August 28, 2020 may be subject to the standard cancellation policy.

I am planning to participate in the WCLC 2020 Virtual Meeting, can I simply transfer my registration fee?
Yes. Your registration will be automatically transferred to the virtual meeting and any difference in fees be refunded by August 28. Cancellations received after August 28, 2020 may be subject to the standard cancellation policy.

Will my ticket for the ILC Foundation Dinner – Road to Hope be refunded?
We hope that you will continue your support of the International Lung Cancer Foundation (ILCF) and consider donating your ticket to ILCF. If you had already purchased a ticket for the ILC Foundation Dinner, there is the option to receive a refund. However, we ask you to consider donating the cost of the ticket to the ILC Foundation. The support of your donation will help fuel our goal to provide fellows and young investigators from around the world the opportunity to receive a research award focused on lung cancer.

If you wish to have your ticket refunded, please email wclc2020-registration at icsevents.com by August 28, 2020. Unless we receive your cancellation requests on or before August 28, we will automatically consider your ticket a donation to ILCF. Thank you in advance for your support to inspire hope through research.

Will my pre-conference workshop fee be refunded?
Yes. Any tickets purchased for the pre-conference workshops will be automatically refunded by August 28, 2020.

Will my hotel room reservation be cancelled?
If you have made a hotel room reservation within the official block of the conference partner hotels, your reservation will be automatically cancelled. If you have booked outside our official block, please contact the hotel directly. Please note no payment has yet been taken for your room reservation.

Will my airfare be refunded?
Please ask your travel agent/airline and let them know you are cancelling or modifying your booking due to the cancellation of WCLC 2020 Singapore due to COVID-19. The responsibility for airfare bookings and refunds is the responsibility of the individual and falls outside the scope of WCLC 2020 Singapore and will be dependent on the type of fare booked and travel insurance coverage. Faculty members who have booked airfare may contact the Conference Secretariat at wclc2020-speakers at icsevents.com.

PROGRAM

I submitted an abstract, what happens now?
All abstracts already submitted for the live WCLC 2020 Singapore, will be automatically transferred to the WCLC 2020 Virtual Meeting. The abstract submission deadline remains August 28, 2020 (23:59 PST).

If you wish to withdraw your abstract, please log back into the system and withdraw your abstract. For any questions, please email wclc2020-abstracts at icsevents.com.

I was originally invited to speak at the Conference or chair a session. Does the invitation automatically extend to the virtual WCLC 2020?
Due to a condensed program, the program committee is reassessing and revaluating the scientific program. New invitations are expected to be sent in August 2020.

EDUCATION & MENTORSHIP AWARD APPLICATIONS

I submitted an application for one of the Education & Mentorship Awards, what happens now?
We are currently evaluating how to offer these opportunities virtually. If you submitted an application, you will be contacted.

SPONSORS & EXHIBITORS

I am an exhibitor and/or sponsor, what happens now?
We understand that the switch to a virtual event may affect your plans. However, we hope that you will continue your commitment to sponsoring and/or virtually exhibiting at WCLC 2020 Virtual. Our Corporate Relations Team will reach out to you in the next couple of days to set up a call to discuss your options.
